REGISTER AND HIRE TODAY
Food delivery is fast-paced and hard work, so being efficient is key. Moped hire for Deliveroo riders is a great way to quickly get on the road, and most importantly, stay on the road with a reliable scooter that doesn't break down, losing you valuable time and money.
In this post, I answer some of the questions you may have about being a Deliveroo moped rider, whether you are just starting or have years of experience.
Moped delivery riders working for Deliveroo must ensure the scooter is insured. Ugo Scooters allows you to hire a moped, and insurance is included.
The type of insurance you need is an SD&P (Social, Domestic and Pleasure) and Hire and Reward policy, which covers you while you are making money as a Deliveroo scooter rider.
When you hire a scooter from us once you have passed the onboarding process, we will provide insurance paper which covers you during the hire period. The insurance documents can then be uploaded to the Deliveroo app.
No, currently it is not possible to rent a moped from Deliveroo, which is why we have supported Deliveroo riders for the last 10 years. Our scooter hire allows you to get started making money with Deliveroo straight away once you register.
Deliveroo moped riders are classed as independent contractors, which means that you are responsible for paying for your petrol. One of the benefits Deliveroo offers its workers is a Shell Fuel Card, which will save you 4p per litre.
Deliveroo scooter riders are also classed as self employed which means you can claim your petrol as a business expense when you file your taxes.
